POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Head: Large Local Corporate
Job Level: VP
Job Purpose.
To proactively manage a small key portfolio of Large Local Corporate customers, alongside the management of the LLC Relationship Manager Team, building long term profitability relationships founded on efficiency and reliable support for their business. This Is achieved Particularly through quick risk decisions and delivery of outstanding service.
The Jobholder will be responsible for business development both with new customers and with existing customers for the LLC Segment.
A primary objective Is for the LLC Team to cross sell the full range of NBC products, including local corporate products, investment banking products and access to the wider NBC network,
Consistent with value based management, the Job holder will be measure on risk-adjusted portfolio contribution for LLC Portfolio as well s other performance metrics Including customer satisfaction.
Receive customer complaints, record It and take all reasonable steps to resolve the complaint In the eyes of Our customers.
Main account abilities and approximate time split
SALES AND SERVICES (75%) Output s:
Spend minimum 65% of available time visiting with customers and targets, marketing NBC services and ensuring we are their preferred supplier of financial solutions.
Achieve and exceed LLC STP On Assets, Liabilities, interest income and Non Interest Income with specific focus on Cash, Trade and Treasury business.
Make Sure the LLC Team provides quality leads to Retail Banking on all products offered.
Develop and maintain detailed quality relationship plans for all clients In the LLC portfolio such that contact with clients Is prioritized.
Work with product area like Investment Banking, Cash Management Trade and
Treasury to deliver Innovative and profitable solutions the customer portfolio.
Undertake annual (and where appropriate Interim) reviews In partnership with credit.
Lead the bank's relationship with customers including negotiation of service standards and pricing.
Deal with and find solutions to client complaints.
Determine the products that are most effective In meeting client's needs and be able to sell these at short notice both reactively and proactively.
Research, create, and follow up a target list for potential new business
Business Managements% Outputs:
Manage and control the portfolio Within agreed limits.
Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to risk management guidelines, KYC procedures and other bank policies.
Analyse business and through In depth knowledge of the portfolio execute on strategy and Implement plans to enhance profitability,
Identify priority clients using client relationship planning template s to assess their present and potential contribution.
Gather all required Information that Is needed to prepare and asses credit applications. Engage and drive applications for sanction and partake In pricing committees as needed.
Role holder will be expected to Input certain key Information such as Judgmental Information. (They Will work with CMA and CCM resources to construct credit applications).
Execute on the NBC, Corporate and LLC strategy.

Broad understanding of polices and strategies Within the country as they relate to the demands of customer base.
A good knowledge of products & services available In the Retail sector Is also required to satisfy the Individual financial needs of business owners I key Individuals,
Broad understanding of competitor Positioning and detailed understanding of NBC area of competitive advantage.
Detailed understanding of country and CBRM guidelines and credit risk policies,
Preferred
Knowledge of banking and financial environment In Tanzanian and neighboring countries.
Banking and Government systems In Tanzania. MBA/Diploma In Banking.
Experience
Minimum 7 years experience In Corporate Banking In emerging markets. Proven experience and expertise In credit risk analysis.
Sound track record of relationship management
Proven networks within the Business banking field In emerging market
Preferred
Commercial or related qualification would be an advantage
