East African Community
The Secretary General of the East African Community Amb. Dr. Richard Sezibera concluded his working mission to the Republic of South Sudan with a courtesy call on His Excellency Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit at State House in Juba, South Sudan
Present at the courtesy call were Hon. Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Hon. Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning; Minister of Internal Security and other senior government officials.
The Secretary General's working mission was undertaken at the invitation of the Republic of South Sudan and was aimed at sharing information and exchanging views with the High Level Committee recently appointed by the President to spearhead the negotiations for South Sudan's Accession to the East African Community, and their Technical Teams.
